Coal production

Coal to energy

CJ Copenhagen produces coal of excellent quality and on a big scale, close to Port Harcourt from where we export. Our mine is located in Enugu State/ Nigeria.

CJ Copenhagen works with the development and adoption of low emissions technologies, such as carbon capture and storage, which is required to ensure that the future use of coal is aligned with the Paris Agreement commitments. We do this in modern ways to minimize pollution.

How and why we use technology in Coal Mining?

Technology is vital to coal mining safety and productivity
Automation, monitoring, and remote devices are all used in coal mining

Technology is critical to the gathering and use of coal. While coal mining has been underway for centuries as a secure and reliable heating and energy source, in recent decades, technological advancements have changed the industry significantly.

Safety, production, and operational challenges have all been overcome thanks to new technology in coal mining.

So, what technology is involved in the gathering or use of coal? In contemporary mining, companies use a range of initiatives, from automation to monitoring and safety technologies, to mine the resources sustainably and safely.

One of the critical uses of technology in our coal mining is to drive safety outcomes. Therefore, we also truck from the mine to the harbor in our brand new trucks, with filters and soon driven by gas, to improve better solutions for the environment.
